It has been a hectic past week … As most know Lind's Sooz teenage daughter lost her dad Edwin Platt known as “Skip” to Family and Friends, Drowned the 13th of March off the shore of Santa Barbara, a tragedy for all who knew him.

So in the past week Sooz & Lind's attended the Funeral Friday the 11th and then the Heart Felt Memorial Service on the 12th at Shoreline Park in Santa Barbara. Thanks to Mary Ann Owner of the Fishing Vessel ”Delilah“, who furnished the Shoreline Park reservation we believe all had a memorable time.

All of us here at JerSooz, including Skip's Mom Betty and 2 Sisters Nancy and Susan, plus Sooz BFF Mashel her Husband Jeffrey and the Foreign Exchange Student they are hosting from Germany, embraced the opportunity to mingle and share stories of Skip's life.

There was quite a turn out at his Memorial one which Lind's surely can be proud! Lind's thanks for Your Support and Best Wishes also to the Hash House Harriers of Santa Barbara for the Memorial Page for “Skip” also known as “Scatman”.

Well let's say we have since Dec 2001 when started JerSooz Enterprises we have gained and even lost a lot of Building your Business information due to hey let's face it stupidity in thinking that everything is so important then we forget to back it up

Back Up and Recovery are the 2 most important things you can do and learn ... though we always say "I will get right to that this is more important right now!" ... then comes the fateful day OMG I lost my computer ... then comes the question what do I do now?

Been there! Done that! ... is the only thing in rational thinking that ultimately later laugh at and go hey I am only human after all ... Jump in and let's Get Er Done ... though your not Larry the Cable Guy! and doesn't sound funny at the time ... Humor can be the Best Medicine

Face the Facts Computers Crash ... Hey it's only inevitible that it's going to happen it's truly when will and merely Life with your computers whether Business or Personal

The Important thing is to Remember Not is All Lost! .... You merely have to keep a clear head and just remember sometimes all that important information thought had is truly not necessary to get yourself back up! ... in fact might find it's what has truly held you back ... Computer techies will even say ... Computer Speed wise to much information on hard drives being read slows down your cache readability ... ergo your computer runs to slow did you partition your hard drive? ... enough tech talk TMI just get back to the basic's it's really not that hard to get back up and have your computer running again

You don't have to be a Geek a Nerd a Comuter Motor Head or even an IT Specialist to get your Computer back up and running you just have to be able to stay Clear Headed and know it may take some time and can even teach you errors made in the past

Face the Fact before a Computer Crashes especially the Hard Drive it 1st has had a lot of Data put on or it or 2nd Has run for many hours ...The average life of today's hard drives is 5 Years sometimes less sometimes more it depends what purpose used for

Gee a 5 Year Warranty why is that? that's because Manufacturers know the Average Business can run their Hard Drives that much ... more importantly they know other factors usually cause Hard Drives to Crash such as Power Voltage Spikes also even how careful data information and how setup with security you have built into it The Old Famous ..."We Don't Support that!" ... have you consulted your Network Administrator?

Computer Crashes not Hard Drive Crashes most times are the wrong program installed or your security settings set wrong ... so is why they say Install 1 program Test it before moving on ... that way can Trouble Shoot in Safe Mode and remove that 1 program or better yet simply go if have a Microsoft based Work at Home or Personal Computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista you can use System Recovery in Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools then what ever Restore Tool it uses it and Yes all the New Operating Systems ( OS ) whether a Mac or Linux have this feature also

Face the Facts it's called the Manufacturer wants you to love them also their OS System otherwise they might lose you as a customer ... Gee My Computer Crashed because of you! ... They will say ... No We Don't Think so! Have you tried to use Recovery?

So You ask what really should I know to stay safe?

1. Do Back Ups to all Your Important Information
2. Have Your Account Name used and Email address to each Registered Program
3. Have Your Passwords for each Account ... these last 2 we recommend do not use the auto fill in for password's and personal information instead get in habit of placing them in a notepad folder or use notepad ++ a great free overall alternative to notepad also with great web editing features and *save them both in text .txt and also if want html .html *... scary part if have a Web Hosting Server account then have loaded in a password protected website folder you can if loaded up can view them any where in world
4. Have Your CD Software for Computer Hardware plus Video Drivers and other Programs ready in event crash ... simple way to do is put them in a box labeled to name of your computer
5. Have Backup Disk or Recovery Disk if made available ready ... if do not know how to do then look in the Help section of Program or OS you use it's really not that hard to do! ... if in doubt the simpliest way to also learn is google it yeah might be amazed when use also google toolbar how easy searching can be just look for the terms System Backup or System Recovery then just jump feet 1st in ... you will have the information to the 2 most important things must know for your computer System Backup and System Recovery

So now you ask? Is Computer Recovery really that Simple?

The answer would be Yes and No it's truly about how much you Backed up! ... we can tell you yes we have lost a lot of emails we have lost a lot of program features we had set up! ... Yes We lost a lot of Sleep! ... though No! we would not say it has been a total loss! ... we have our own personal information have stored on computers for 10+ years why because backed it up!

Why You ask? ... Because When all else failed We did a Rebuild a Total Restarting over and Guess what did this Without No Tech Support! ... That's right Only Tech Support ever had was Manuals Computer or Programs came with ... We Googled and Searched Internet and all merely with Search Engines for Answers ... You really Can be Your Computers only needed Tech Support if you believe you can do it
