This Week was a very Big Week for a heated conversation about Our Troops not having Armoured Equipment
The Question asked Rumsfeld... why the U.S. Army requires its soldiers to "dig through local landfills for pieces of scrap metal" to bolster armor on their vehicles."...click on the Picture above for Full story
The Facts it seems Rumsfeld if read or listened closely...did quite a Good Job and should be commended for his reply
Secondly the Soldier should also be commended for his Bravery to even ask the Question of Rumsfield...it is the Hoped Right of all Americans to have their voice heard
The controversy here lies in the Big Questions...
- Should this Question have been asked by one of Our US Soldiers
- Do Our Troops have the Protection they need
- Will the Soldier be reprimanded by Higher Ups
- Was the Soldier prompted by reported rumors by a News Reporter
This Reporter attached to his Unit following the Troops...Rehearsed this Question to be asked
Also Staging him in Crowd so he would be called on
- Will this Question lead to Further Drop in Morale or Security
- Was this a Conspiracy to get News coverage
To Boost Ratings for Anti War sentiments
The Fact of the Matter here is...We must all Keep a Clear head...Regarding the Safety of Our Troops...Yes We at JerSooz Ezine feel that this question should have been asked
Whether staged by a News Reporter or Heart felt from the Soldier and Soldiers around him when asked...a big roar went up
The War on Terrorism at best has shown...Our Troops as well as others are still asking the USA to back them...also to be provided the equipment they need so less lives are lost
JerSooz Ezine also would like to commend Rumsfeld as stated earlier too...because his answer was not like a usual Politician...it sounded Heart Felt and at least in his Reply showed also his concern
JerSooz Ezine says it might also be added the US is stepping up armouring vehicles...a story that got little press...hopefully this might help in future when sending Troops in to War Zones.
The Controversy also lies in these statements made as to what is being called Hillbilly Armouring.
- Will the Added Weight reduce Speed/Fuel Economy
- Terrorist when seeing Armour change from Standard Weapons to RPG Missles Launchers.
- Will Our Soldiers be lulled into False Security with added Armour Vehicles
All that We can say at JerSooz Ezine is this...until all Our Troops are Safely Home...Then We must Provide them with the Best Equipment that can be provided...Plus Our Soldiers voices should be heard for only they know what is needed.
The Question wanted to be asked by JerSooz Ezine this Holiday Season is this
If the US Government didn't have the Priviledge to extend the Duty Time...on Our Voluntary Military especially Reserve Military Units...Some Troops that have already had extended time added to their Tours...are being sent back 2nd even 3rd time...Would we still have a feasible Military to Defend Our Nation
Better asked question would following this scenario would be...Would We think twice before committing Troops...if this Priviledge was removed

Tips on How To Avoid Seasonal Stress
We all love the holidays with all the excitement in the air, the hustle and bustle everywhere we go,
the fresh smell of evergreen, hot apple cider and the promises of a delicious Holiday Feast.
For most of us the holidays often start out this way. You feel peace on earth and goodwill
towards all. It isnt long before your to-do list becomes seemingly endless.
You begin to witness
first hand your budget shrinking more each day, and time is running out. By the time the actual
holiday gets here, a lot of us are fresh out of goodwill and cheer.
It can be tough to hold on to your merry mood when stress creeps its way into the activities. Now
that we're getting close to Christmas why not vow this year, to beat the stress before it beats
you. If you are in the midst of it already and theres not much you can do...plan to make some changes for next year.
Keep in mind, Holidays Mean a lot More If You Spend More Time With Family & Friends
Make this year your year to focus on "quality time". The holiday will be more memorable if you
spend more quality time with your family, friends, neighbors, and those special coworkers. Even
if you just take a few here and there to tell someone how important they are to you, it can mean
so much more than giving a gift.
How about organizing a casual get together or potluck -everyone can bring their favorite holiday dish and that alone makes it more fun! If the idea of
entertaining stresses you out, how about getting together for lunch or coffee.
Check the TV
schedule and have a movie night in. This is good for family, house members of any age and a
relaxing way to spend time together.
Keep It Simple
Trying to overdo it is probably the number one reason for out-of-control stress. If you're
planning your own get-together, or trying to figure out gifts for extended family, don't feel as if
you have to make it to every single party, or buy for the entire office. If this is You you might be
in danger of over-doing it.
Everything Doesn't Have To Be Perfect!
Is your vision of being a host/hostess with the mostest? You know...everything perfect, on time and color
coordinated? Forget about all of that! Obtaining or trying to obtain perfection could very easily be a recipe for disaster. Instead why not focus on your company and/or friends and family, and leave the glorified-hostess
with-the-mostest idea to the pro's.
If you are going to throw a party, plan ahead. Do your decorations a little at a time and on the
weekend before. If it doesn't all get done don't lose any sleep over it! Only you will know what
you didn't do!
Keep your menu simple so you're not slaving away in the kitchen while your
guests are out enjoying the party.
You can even ask your guests to bring a sidedish, an appetizer, or
a dessert so you can focus on the main menu.
Keep in mind that the best parties happen
when the host/hostess has fun, too.
Watch What You Eat
On the average most Americans gain, 1 to 5 pounds per year. And
it's no surprise considering all the candy cakes, cookies and desserts around Thanksgiving and
Christmas. Should you say No...or? Well, the good news is that its OK splurge on some desserts,
but plan ahead. If you want to eat hearty one special day take it easy before and after that day
so you won't pack in way more than you normally eat in a week or so. By keeping your body from great extremes (expanding your stomache, for one) and more balanced you cut out certain discomfort. This will also keep the stress from feeling guilty at bay. Another benefit is you won't have that so-full-you-can't-move lethargic feeling.
Choose Healthy Holiday Foods
Whatever happened to cold cuts and vegetable trays? How about serving up or bringing a raw vegetable tray and or some healthy appetizers this year. Cheese and crackers or a meat and cheese tray are far better than rich gooey candies before dinner. Fruits and fruit trays not only make a nice arrangement but they are good for your digestion. You can have fruit before and after a meal so have it out before the meal.
Moderation Is The Key
Keep tabs on what you have been eating and drinking. Sure we are all going to eat and maybe even drink a little more this time of year, but if you consiously pay attention to the number of helpings or drinks (2 is enough) you have you will feel better in the long run.
Consider Agreeing to Modifying the Gift Tradition
Are you one of those people who finds yourself opening presents you don't really need or want?
Why not talk to your family/friends about changing or even dropping the tradition altogether. There are alternatives to the traditional gift-giving. You can exchange gifts by picking a name from the guest list. How about just giving the kids gifts? Just think of all the stress you will have avoided!
No more running at the last minute for something that is sold out in every store. No more spending money you really don't want to spend. Did an unexpected guest show up or did you forget someone? Won't have to worry about that anymore!

- Suggesting the gift of spending time together might sound cheap at first but as the years go by time is the one thing we find...that there is just too little of. Why not commit to taking a couple hours to drive
around to see the Christmas lights. Or arrange a shopping trip or even a card game.
Last But Not Least, and not too late- Shop Online
Make a list, check it twice, and then get to it. You'll probably save money if you shop in person,
but by now you have probably realized you won't be able to steer clear of crowds. Right now at this late stage in the game the Internet can be your best friend. Instead of getting in the shopping lines you can sit back and sip your latte while you wait for the gifts to be delivered to your door.

Just a few ideas to help you through the Holiday Season. Never know you might want to make a few of these changes this year and a few more of them next year.
