The New Beginning or So it Seemed
Over six months ago I Excitedly drove off with my daughter, Linds into the Sunset to Begin a New Life's Adventure. The Plan? To make a new start at life. The plan was to help a family friend with his Business and re-locate in The Pacific NorthWest. I thought I needed a New Start and create an environment where Linds could hopefully gain a better, more Learning frame of mind.
With the hopes of making changes to better life as I knew it
Over time the questions began adding up.
- What Was I Running Away From?
- Did I Do Everything To Work It Out?
- Was I Blaming Someone Else For My ShortComings?
- Had I Given Jer and Our Business A Fair Chance?
Was This (Running Away When Times Got Tough)A Habit?
*Yes a Human Trait that Proved to Me in its enlightenment I was only Human*
New Beginnings are not what always seem
As I went through the motions of Starting A New Life Elsewhere it began to dawn on me what Others were telling me for the past 1 year.
I Was Going Through The Change
I remember the first time my Mom told me, 'You and your sister ought to listen to me and try asking your Dr. for help Going through the Change'
I thought oh no! I dont need that. The night sweats, mood swings and hot flashes were not that bad.
You see the true facts,there were more things happening under the scenes which I had no idea would affect me so extremely.
Facts be known I was on a Self Discovery, Finding out Who I really am
I found myself realizing I had been blaming other people for the things I was either not doing right or not at all. I was flustered, impatient, uncomfortable in my own skin.
I was overlooking the Basic overall discomfort that I was feeling, and taking all of these symptoms, or signs for granted.
I was in Denial
Fact Finding Mission - Realizations
As time went by The questions I was asking myself became more prevalent. Why did I want to Give Up on my Dream? Did I really think my supposed reasons for running were founded in Reality? Where did I belong?
Opening Door To Changes
I was afraid to Return Home because I would have to face all of these things. It is hard to admit, maybe I had made a Mistake. Maybe, just Maybe my Mom Was Right!
During the time I was Away, Jer continued to Keep The Faith in Our Dream. He knew over time I would see that He Kept All his Promises to Me. He Knew that I was going through The Change and it was a difficult time for me.
I keep a folder with over 270 emails written by Jer while I was finding my way, to help me know I was always wanted. He believed in Me!
As it turned out the complaints I had were all being answered one by one. His job moved him to a new town where we could get situated in a nicer neighborhood with better schools. We would be able to Start Over, all of us! New House New Town New Dreams and New fun places to go Adventuring.
This Fresh Start is a Reminder to Me to Check Myself. When things start feeling ill at-ease and nothing is going right I learned to take a look at the things that are really Happening.
I learned that it's important to think before abandoning ship, and consider the consequences. When these sort of rash decisions are put into action other people, family and friends can suffer.
I learned to Listen to the people who Know Me and Care in my Life. They might just see a Possible Problem and Possible Solution that is unclear, or not even visible to me.
I learned to Welcome others input instead of dismissing what they say, and consider their ideas. They might be able to Help!
Yes LifeTime Friends and Readers it was also Your Support that Helped Me to see how Lucky, I am in Life to have Family and Friends who Love Me and My Daughter Linds,To All of You Thank You for Your Support
