This Weeks TopicInspirationNew HP Pavillion for Mom  Pic' Courtesy of WalMart Website Inspiration Is All Around You! This week our focus is on inspiration. We think inspiration is underrated! For instance, without inspiration would electricity be discovered? Would we all have our own PC's at home? Would we be involved in Space Travel and driving our own cars? If we all give credit when and where credit is due, and work harder to be more of an inspiration this world can not help but be a better place for us all to live! Why, you might ask is there a picture of the new HP Pavillion at the top? We re-built Sooz old computer in 2002 and gave it to her Mom who lives in Washington. Sooz Mom had retired a long time ago and had never owned a PC. She said she would like to learn to use one and be able to send email to her friends and family and read all the news from around the world. At around 70 years of age Mom decided to learn how to use a computer! She knew nothing about short cuts, the Internet, email, instant messaging, or files and folders. Let's put it this way, she was a Newbie! We drove to Washington from California to visit Sooz parents on our summer vacation this year. We had a relaxing and fantastic time touring Seattle and riding the Ferry Boats. When it came to the very last few hours of the last day of our visit we decided Mom's computer needed to be completely rebuilt. It was acting erratically, and all the usual methods of getting it back in shape were not working to solve the problems. After working on it a few hours, we had nearly all the software uploaded and installed...except the camera. We loaded up the camera software...which put it over the edge. We are not talking just a little over the edge we are talking severe dysfunction! Part of the dilemma might have been a conflict with the new Instant Messaging and added voice/camera options they offer. Sadly enough, no matter what we tried short of rebuilding it again, the old workhorse (a 2000 Compaq with Windows ME as an Operating System)refused to load the software. After several attempts we had to get going for home. Of course we felt terrible because we could not even get the computer operational, and left her with no computer at all to use. Knowing how much it would cost to bring it home with us fix it and send it back we decided to leave it and look around for good deals on new PC's when we returned home. WalMart had 2 really good deals one of which was a special on the HP for around $590.00, so we called and told her about the deal. Great Going Darlene! Good Choice! To our amazement we got a phone call a few days later and "Mom" had treated herself to a fantastic PC. She figured after all the time she spent online and learning how to use a computer she deserved a nice one. The picture at the top of this page is what she bought herself at WalMart.  We Are Proud Of You Mom! We have to admit this lady is an inspiration! It just goes to show that you can take up a new hobby and learn new things at any age! As long as you have an interest in something there is nothing holding you back from learning about it, including your age. Share Inspiration With Friends & Family Keep an eye out for inspiring news and share it! How often do you share inspiration with others? This could be your story about hopes and dreams or a story of how someone overcame great odds to achieve their goals. Have you ever thought about how often you share an inspiring story with your kids? They need to hear these things to help them to believe they too can achieve their goals. Ask Yourself Who do you remember in your life the most? The fun people, the ones with Big Dreams and the folks who were an inspiration for you, your role models! We think it is noteworthy to mention these tidbits of inspiration to your friends, kids and the people around you. This form of spreading positive ideas and can improve the atmosphere wherever you are. Hearing and sharing positives and positive re-inforcement can make huge differences in us and the people around us. Remember always thinking Positive will always get a Positive return. Foremostly never forget it is only you who can stop others negativity from entering your mind.
