Time for A New Computer
It has been another eventful week for us!
The Tax-Man was Very Generous this Year...Seems Our Tax Strategy of Taking out more Taxes... Verses claiming things others do Pays off.
So following the Guidelines to Success we once more decided to once again Upgrade our Office Computers.
The Secret to Success dictates that when times are good... You Reinvest parts of income to make sure Your Current with the Market Place and Up to date in Equipment
Well this Upgrade We stepped up further and got 2 Intel Pentium Computers...Not Your Off the Shelf Brands but having the Knowledge We Build Ours.
The New ones We built are now Pentium 4's running at 2.4Ghtz... Real Power Blasters
You see If you are going to do what we did You should know all the info before hand what need... Ourselves We have a Wonderful Sales Lady named Hillary who knows what is current and High Powered Business Frame Computers
We love the store called Fry's!

Here you can find all the components you are looking for under one roof!
We bought everything we needed at Fry's this time.
The Components We bought this time are as follows
- Barebone ATX Computer Case " Brand-"Antec" beautiful Metalic Bronze
- Then came The Soyo Mother Boards SY-P4X400 Dragon Ultra
- DDR 266/333 SDRAM
- ATA133 IDE RAID (0,1,0+1)
- C-MEDIA 6 Channel Hardware Audio
UNIVERSAL AGP PRO (8X)
- OVERCLOCKING
- 10/100 Mbps LAN ON BOARD
- USB 2.0 ON BOARD
Then as Special Deal came with a 4 Port Hub for Front Access to USB devices and a Neat Onboard 5.1 Speaker Access Kit for Super Audio...and Some Great Software to make this a Fantastic Deal
Lets just say sounds like a lot of Tech Talk but trust Us this is One Great Mother Board.
Then came The other things needed
- Pentium 2.4Ghtz P4 CPU
- (1)512MB DDR 533 Mhz Ram Chip
- Western Digital 80Gig Harddrive 70MS
- SIS315 Chip 64MB SCRAM Video Card
- 16X DVD Player
- 56K Modem V92 Standard
- 1.44 Floppy Drive
Then We brought all the Components Home and Assembled the Machines...
Yeah is Wild to Build Your Own Computers...You see these Machines Equipped this way Cost Us about $700 each...Whereby if go Out and Price the same Machine is going in the $1100 US Range elsewhere...plus not half the Power Feautures
Although this may seem costly in one lump sum We always buy Matched Systems... This way We Virtually get Two Excellent Computers for just over the Price of One.
So to Us though We sometimes want to Duck when see the Price its We will always say...Ok lets buy both together.. Plus this way we can put Our Love into them... also can Personally call them Our Own because built them

Things to take into Account Building Your Own
- You have to install Your Own Software verses OEM installed (Original Equipment Manufacturer) usually tons of Stuff coming with New Computers.
- Your Starting New... either way... but Tech Help on Off Shelf ones might have better Return Policy whereas Self Built Your The Tech Support
- How Valuable is Your Time must be taken into Account...both Building and Loading Software is Time Consuming.
- What Platform You use is Dictated by Manufacturer whereas Personally Built You dictate what use.
- Computers We built now run XP Professional verses off Shelf XP Home usually at best
So as You can see maybe be better to buy if a Newbie say a HP Pavilion... Compag...Dell...Or Gateway Computer if Faint at Heart...Look for Local Business's or Off the Shelf HP or even EMachines great place to look is Walmart

We were amazed when we discovered the great deal on a Lexmark Printer/Scanner/Copier plus other Great Computer Deals SamsSams Club
It was only $99.00 for the model we bought for Sooz's Mom!
Went back to get another one and...there were none left.
